You should transfer all files to your personal drive before you leave UQ. When you leave UQ (including when you graduate), you must remove all Office 365 licences. If you are creating personal documents, or sending emails with a personal email account through the UQ licenced Office 365 Outlook, you can set the sensitivity to 'unofficial'.

If you have a UQ staff account with Office 365 sensitivity labels enabled, this functionality will be automatically applied when you install Office 365 on your personal device.

If you want to completely remove Office from your computer, search for instructions for how to do that for your operating system. When you launch an Office application on a signed-out program, you’ll be able to read and print existing documents, but not edit them. This doesn’t uninstall Office applications from your computer. Choose which computer or device you want to remove Office 365 from and click ‘Sign out’ next to that device name.Click on the grey circle with your initials in it (top right-hand corner on a desktop screen).Office 365 will give you a warning that you have reached that limit. You may need to sign out of Office 365 on one of your personal devices if you have reached the maximum installation limit (5 devices). install Office apps and email on iOS devices.

This is different to the username and password you use for myUQ, mySI-net and Blackboard. Students: you should always use your email address and password with Office 365.

You'll need an internet connection on the computer you want to install Office on. Staff and HDR students with staff accounts have access to OneDrive and other file storage. Students can sign up for a free personal (non-UQ) Microsoft account to access these applications. OneNote and OneDrive aren't available to students through Office 365 at UQ. Your computer must be connected to the internet at least once every 30 days to keep using Office 365. You can also access Office mobile applications on iPhone and Android devices.
